Edition 15
Hello folks,Hope you enjoy our October edition as much as I enjoyed putting it together.
Our staff of collaborators is getting bigger and I would like to point out that we, the editorial staff, would not be able to improve the paper, issue by issue, by ourselves.
We hope each new edition finds new readers and that the pleasure of reading something about Curitiba in the international idiom brings them satisfaction and the sensation of being a “citizen of the world”.
I also want to let everyone know that we are organising a list of all the people that want to receive new editions at home. We are still in need of financial and logistical support before we can accept membership requests, but we are working on it.
In this edition we are proud to print a historical description of the 50-year odyssey of The International School of Curitiba. In reading it you will become aware of its long and determined struggle to make it one of the most important internationally recognised educational centres in Brazil. It started as a school for the children of foreign families working in Brazil, but nowadays many Brazilian families are proud to say they have family members graduated from the school whom have contributed greatly to Curitiba's society.
All the best,
Nelson G. Santos
