Edition 18
Hello Folks,2010 ...
Here we are again.
Full of energy, believing we are going to make it a prosperous year... and suddenly an earthquake destroys a nation.
150,000 people die under the ruins and millions survive with nowhere to go. Volunteers are sought all over the world and together with fire brigades and army contingents are landing among starving people; bringing them water, food and all sorts of medicines and health care. With determination, volunteers and soldiers become heroes, searching for any sign of life in the hope of another successful rescue. TV reporters with cameras in their hands are registering all kinds of actions to show the world what is going on.
Unfortunately it is not a good start. We regret the loss of so many people. We further regret that Zilda Arns was among the victims. We still further regret the suffering of so many parentless children.
Let’s continue to believe God’s blessings are yet to come.
We know “El Niño” won’t make it easy. It has been singled out as being responsible for the great amount of thunder and lightning; and associated with floods, droughts and other weather disturbances it has been producing landslides, damaging roads, inundating and submerging residences in many regions of our country.
Life must go on... and we must be ready to face whatever it throws at us.
Bring it on!
Cheers !!!
